Portal Strips, designed by Svetoslav Simov, is a free striped geometric display font built from tightly repeated parallel lines. Angular silhouettes turn the shifting stripes into restless optical patterns.
Posters make an especially convincing setting for this graphic construction, which recalls Op Art and electronic imagery. It also suits music packaging and event graphics based around futuristic or experimental themes. On merchandise, the striped letterforms can become part of a larger surface pattern rather than acting as ordinary text.
