Author's note

Poseidon by Jim Fordyce is a free medieval blackletter font with broad, dark forms, aggressively cut edges, and oversized capitals built around elaborate vertical strokes and unevenly angled shoulders. Sharp notches interrupt the blunt, compact curves.

Myth, seafaring, and medieval fantasy provide a convincing setting for the lettering, making it useful for role-playing game covers, festival posters, and music merchandise that favor a strongly theatrical edge. For tavern packaging or fantasy entertainment branding, the dense silhouettes can become part of an illustrated emblem, lending a product name the weight and ornament of a carved sign or a stamped metal crest.
