Author's note
Predator by Jim Sorenson is a free fragmented techno display font built from isolated straight strokes. Letters are stripped back to scattered vertical, horizontal, and diagonal marks, with broad gaps replacing most of their outlines. The result resembles a coded signal.
Technology, surveillance, and digital decay are natural subjects for this sparse construction. It can shape science-fiction posters and game interfaces, and its clipped marks also suit electronic music graphics. In magazine covers and experimental editorial spreads, the lettering can function like diagrams or transmission fragments woven through the page.
