Author's note

Proletarsk by Peter Wiegel is a free geometric sans serif with broad, clean forms and a distinctly circular approach to curved letters. Its even, lightly drawn strokes keep every form controlled. The generous proportions and simple construction give the lettering a cool modernist air.

As an editorial voice, it can shape magazine features and architecture publishing with an orderly, unfussy look. It also suits branding and cultural posters. The geometry is apt for design-conscious readers drawn to modernist graphics.

--

More than 880 glyphs, including Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek characters, as well as numerous accented characters. Metrics have been improved, and block graphics, ligatures, and special signs have been added. Quotation marks and the order of Cyrillic letters have been corrected.
