Author's note

ProSyl, by Saali Peter, is a free Canadian syllabics font with a bold, geometric rhythm and a distinctly sign-like presence. The letters rely on thick strokes, open curves, hooked turns, and sharp directional wedges, giving the font a compact, modular feel that reads as both linguistic and graphic.

This free font fits projects that want written language to function as image too, from cultural posters and exhibition graphics to book covers, title cards, educational material, and logo-like wordmarks. It works best in short settings where those repeated bends, arcs, and arrowed shapes can carry the composition and give a line of text a clear visual pulse.
