Author's note

Protest Paint BB Italic, designed by Nate Piekos, is a free eroded display font with a forceful hand-painted slant. Its tall, tightly packed capitals have uneven edges and streaky breaks that resemble dry paint dragged across a rough surface. Broad strokes and sharp, ragged endings keep the lettering urgent rather than decorative.

Independent bands, skate labels, and streetwear brands will find its scuffed, confrontational voice especially useful. It suits gig posters, album covers, and apparel graphics. The scraped texture echoes distressed photographs, photocopied artwork, and paint marks, so the lettering becomes part of the image rather than a clean overlay.
