ProtoSans42 by Roman Gornitsky is a free geometric techno display font built from rigid rectangular strokes and abrupt right-angle cuts. Its broad, squared forms feel deliberately mechanical.
It can give software branding the same engineered edge it brings to electronic music posters. Blocky openings and modular joins also suit game interfaces and science-fiction packaging, where the letters can resemble parts of a constructed system. The clearest audience is designers working with digital culture, machines, and speculative technology.
