ProtoSans45, designed by Roman Gornitsky, is a free geometric techno display font built from broad rectilinear strokes, abrupt joins, and box-like curves with almost no soft transitions. Every letter looks assembled from the same strict rectangular modules.
Circuit diagrams and grid-based graphics echo its repeated right angles, making the lettering a convincing fit for technology posters and game interfaces with a stark futuristic setting. On electronic music packaging, the block shapes can resemble components assembled into a custom control panel rather than ordinary type. The same constructed look also suits exhibition signage and branding for experimental digital studios or hardware makers.
