ProtoSans50 by Roman Gornitsky is a free pixel display font assembled from oversized rectangular modules. Its letters rely on square cuts, straight edges, and open gaps instead of curves. The blunt, compact shapes recall the coarse resolution of early computer screens.
Retro computing and arcade themes make it a convincing fit for game graphics, technology event posters, and electronic music merchandise. In digital interfaces, they can become status panels or score displays.
