Psi Hoe Pate's Altern-8 by Psi Hoe Pate is a free techno display font with broad rectilinear lettering and a stark machine-cut profile. Thick horizontal and vertical strokes dominate, with squared openings and abrupt inset corners giving the forms a circuit-board edge.
Digital graphics are its clearest medium, especially game interfaces. Electronic music posters and merchandise benefit from the lettering's hard industrial geometry. For technology branding, the severe squared forms can become an emblem rather than neutral text.
