Author's note

Quake 2, a free modern gothic caps font, channels the hard-edged drama of late-90s game lettering. The caps mix high-contrast curves with blade-like spikes and split, clawed joins, so the alphabet feels ceremonial and aggressive at the same time.

That mood suits game logos, sci-fi posters, album covers, title cards, and short branding where the letters can act like emblems rather than plain text. As a free font, Quake2 works best in brief display settings, from cover lines to monograms, because those hooked cuts and needle points carry the look even in just a few characters.
