Author's note

Quill, by Broderbund Software, is a free calligraphic script with a distinctly pointed-pen, formal-italic mood. The letters sweep forward in long, tapered strokes, mixing generous loops with hairline joins so the whole design feels airy, elegant, and a little ceremonial.

It works naturally for wedding stationery, perfume or boutique branding, book covers, greeting cards, and title cards where a few words can carry the look. As a free font, Quill is especially at home in monograms, short headlines, and signature-style lockups, because those extended swashes and slender connections want room to stretch.
