Author's note

Rambla Bold by Martin Sommaruga is a free bold sans serif with compact proportions and a warm, humanist build. Broad verticals sit beside rounded forms, and subtly changing stroke widths keep the lettering from feeling mechanical. Its shapes are sturdy but not blunt.

Simple geometric illustration finds a strong typographic counterpart here, especially on posters and magazine covers. Solid forms suit food packaging and event graphics, where an approachable voice matters. Soft curves and gently angled joins connect naturally with drawings of people, produce, or familiar street scenes.
