Author's note

Rambla by Martin Sommaruga is a free sans serif with tall, compact letters and a lightly condensed stance. Subtle changes in stroke width keep the shapes from feeling mechanical, especially through the broad capitals and softly drawn lowercase curves. The spacing is even and the overall texture is calm.

Contemporary culture and city life are natural subjects for Rambla's direct, unfussy lettering. It suits magazine features, arts event posters, and identity work for cafes or small studios, where the narrow proportions allow substantial wording without a bulky effect. Its understated humanist details fit editorial and cultural projects better than hard-edged technology themes.
