Random House by Janice Faucher is a free decorative display font assembled from mismatched serif letters. Its shifting proportions and abrupt changes in stroke weight resemble type cut from unrelated headlines. Scuffed patches and uneven edges sharpen the collage effect.
A ransom-note poster is its most convincing setting, with each letter contributing to the pasted-up illusion. The same disruptive texture suits punk record sleeves, underground magazine covers, and rebellious apparel graphics. Its fractured newspaper look also connects naturally with crime stories, protest themes, and other designs rooted in cut-and-paste culture.
