Author's note

Rase GPL is a free techno display font with broad, machine-cut lettering and an emphatic horizontal profile. Its square corners, flat curves, and sharply angled joins make the forms resemble custom panels from an industrial console. Several letters stretch to unusually wide proportions.

Game title screens are its strongest setting, since the extended forms suggest futuristic machinery, a reference that carries readily into digital interfaces and science-fiction posters. Electronic music labels and gaming merchandise aimed at retro-futurist audiences can draw on the same hard geometry for a recognizable technical theme.
