Reanimator by Thomas W. Otto of Norfok Inc. is a free horror serif display font with towering capitals and blade-like serifs. Jagged cuts break through its high-contrast strokes, and the tall letters look scarred and menacing.
It is best suited to horror film posters, where the damaged forms can supply much of the menace. The same marks suit heavy-metal merchandise and game packaging. Horror posters remain its clearest role: the letters already resemble a title damaged by violence.
