Author's note

Rechtman Script by David Rakowski is a free formal calligraphic script with a distinctly engraved, copperplate flavor. The letters sweep from a tall, looping capital into tightly linked lowercase forms, mixing hairline curves with dark, swelling strokes so the font feels graceful but a little dramatic.

It fits invitations, wine labels, boutique packaging, mastheads, and elegant title cards where a few words need a ceremonious tone. As a free font, it also works well for monograms or drop caps, because those long opening flourishes and compact joins give short names and initials a finished, signature-like presence.
