Author's note

Rediviva by Dieter Steffmann is a free medieval blackletter font with broad calligraphic forms and a forceful hand-cut silhouette. Strong changes in stroke width give the letters dark, sweeping curves beside sharp, diamond-like points. The irregular angles keep it lively.

Designers working on historical or fantasy themes will find it well suited to book covers and tabletop game graphics. Its carved appearance also fits heritage packaging and museum exhibitions, especially when the lettering needs to evoke an old workshop or manuscript tradition. For seasonal events, it can turn invitations into part of a richly medieval-inspired setting.
