Red State Blue State BB Italic by Nate Piekos is a free italic comic display font with broad, hand-drawn capitals and a strong forward lean. Uneven stroke edges, tight joins, and sharply cut ends give the lettering the brisk look of inked sound effects rather than polished signwriting.

It can turn a title into an urgent comic-book cue, making it well suited to action posters, game graphics, and entertainment merchandise. In publishing, its slanted forms and irregular weight are especially apt for cover lines or chapter openers in comics and illustrated magazines.
