Red State Blue State by Nate Piekos is a free hand-lettered comic display font with broad, uneven capitals and a blunt marker-cut finish. The strokes shift in width and angle.

Political satire and civic debate are a match, especially for campaign posters and editorial cartoons that favor wit over official formality. Its restless outlines also suit comic covers and event graphics with an argumentative, handmade edge. Campaign posters are its most convincing setting, where the irregular capitals resemble emphatic placard lettering.
