Regal Demise by S. John Ross is a free horror display font with the look of hand-scratched lettering dragged through old paper. The caps feel wiry, ragged, and slightly uneven, with thorny little breaks and hooked ends that give the alphabet a haunted, late-Victorian chill instead of a slick modern goth finish.
It fits posters, book covers, zine mastheads, title cards, and Halloween party graphics where the letters need to feel eerie before anyone reads the words. As a free font, Regal Demise also suits short headlines, band flyers, and chapter openers, because its spidery texture carries mood fast and works best when given room to loom.
