Author's note

Register, by Lasse Hedegaard, is a free digital bitmap display font with the blunt, blinking feel of an old dot-matrix readout. The letters are built from square modules and open gaps, giving the alphabet a clipped, electronic rhythm that feels more like signage and data than handwriting.

It fits naturally in retro tech branding, arcade flyers, screen-graphics posters, zine covers, interface mockups, and title cards where a free font can carry a dry computer-era mood. Because the caps read like lit segments arranged on a grid, it also works well for short headlines, labels, and monograms that need that unmistakably coded, machine-made tone.
