Author's note

Remolino Stencil by Tibor Lantos of FontStruct is a free retro stencil display font built from broad curved forms with dramatic, sharp changes in stroke width. Its repeated horizontal breaks give the letters a distinctive striped, mechanical finish.

Those bands echo cut-paper graphics and screen-printed patterns, making the font a natural fit for record packaging, music posters, and fashion merchandise with an unmistakable 1970s slant. In editorial design, the same mix of rounded mass and sliced detail can turn a magazine opener or feature heading into part of the illustration, especially for stories on vintage style, experimental music, or graphic culture.
