Author's note

ReneLouis, by Richard Beatty Designs, is a free gothic display font with a refined fin-de-siecle air. The letters mix tall blackletter drama with smooth, almost Art Nouveau curves, and the repeating hooked flourishes give the wordshape a formal, slightly theatrical sweep.

It fits book covers, wine labels, boutique packaging, poster titles, and restaurant branding where a historical mood needs a lighter touch than dense medieval lettering. As a free font, it also works well for monograms and short editorial headings, because those curling accents and high-contrast strokes make brief lines feel dressed rather than heavy.
