Author's note

Renny Hybrid by Bill Roach is a free old-school display font with tall, high-contrast letters, broad vertical strokes, and the eccentric polish of turn-of-the-century decorative lettering. Its finest lines often double as internal ornament.

Publishing is its clearest home: magazine mastheads, book covers, and theatrical programs gain a period voice associated with late Victorian print design from the narrow proportions, split stems, and sharply swept curves. It also suits boutique packaging and event posters, where inset rules can echo engraved borders, ironwork, or finely drawn product illustrations, making the lettering part of the decorative image rather than only a label.
