Author's note

Respess Capitals Heavy, by l'Abecedarienne, is a free eroded serif display font with a weathered, old-print presence. The caps look chipped and uneven all the way through, with sturdy classic letterforms pushed into something rougher and more tactile than a clean revival.

It fits poster headlines, book covers, packaging, title cards, and pub or cafe branding where a bit of age helps set the tone. As a free font, it also works well for short editorial openers and monograms, since the battered edges give even a few letters the feel of ink, wood type, and use.
