Ribeye by Astigmatic is a free serif display font with the lively irregularity of hand-cut show-card lettering. Broad curves, sharply changing stroke widths, and small flared serifs give the letters a jaunty, slightly eccentric silhouette. Several forms lean or swell unexpectedly.
It can turn a title into part of the entertainment rather than a neutral label. That theatrical quality suits restaurant branding, festival posters, children's publishing, and playful food packaging. Its bouncy shapes are especially at home with carnival, comedy, and retro seaside themes.
