Author's note

Rilo, by High-Logic, is a free comic display font with a lanky, hand-drawn bounce and a slightly storybook mood. Its letters mix thin strokes with round, playful forms, while details like the long curved leg on the R and the dot-like i keep the font feeling loose, quirky, and a little offbeat.

That makes it a natural fit for children's book covers, casual cafe menus, scrapbook headings, greeting cards, and poster titles where a free font can lean into charm instead of polish. It also works well for short logos, chapter openers, and playful packaging, because the uneven rhythm gives even a few letters enough character to carry a line.

The name Rilo just popped out while I was working on this piece.

Although hundreds of thousands of people have downloaded this typeface, I can count the number of people who have donated on my left hand.
