Author's note

Ripe Bold by Cameron Sweeney of RipeType is a free retro serif with oversized rounded forms, clean strokes, and gently changing weight. Fine slab-like feet keep the unusual proportions neatly grounded.

Retro editorial design is its most natural territory, especially magazine covers and cultural event posters that benefit from lettering with an immediately distinctive silhouette. It also suits boutique branding, where the sweeping shapes lend labels and shop materials a refined but eccentric edge.
