ripTRASH by Manuel Viergutz is a free eroded display font with rough, torn silhouettes. Its heavy letters have ragged edges and uneven patches that resemble distressed ink or ripped paper. The forms are blunt and forceful.
That torn-paper texture can connect lettering directly with collage, photocopied artwork, and gritty music photography. It suits concert posters and album covers, while its irregular mass also makes sense on streetwear merchandise. For branding, the distressed shapes could become part of an emblem for an underground label, skate shop, or independent music venue.
