Author's note

Risque by Brian J. Bonislawsky of Astigmatic is a free retro comic display font with a theatrical, slightly unruly silhouette. Its sharp wedge serifs, swelling curves, and uneven letter shapes give the type a lively hand-cut look.

Vintage character illustration and hand-painted show-card art share its exaggerated shapes, making it well suited to poster lettering, book covers, and entertainment branding. The crooked details also fit carnival graphics and comic publishing, especially projects built around vaudeville, folklore, or mischievous period humor.
