Author's note

RitaSmith by Claude Pelletier is a free high-contrast serif font with a stately, slightly theatrical profile. Broad capitals rise above narrow hairlines, and the rounded lowercase letters have soft, swelling curves. Tapered serifs and ball-like details keep the formal drawing lively.

Book covers are its strongest setting, especially for historical fiction or literary editions. It suits museum posters, restaurant branding, and concert programs. In those contexts, the lettering can become an ornamental masthead rather than neutral text.
