RM Albion by Ray Meadows is a free blackletter font rooted in medieval manuscript lettering. Sharp diamond-like turns, split vertical strokes, and broad calligraphic forms give the letters a formal, heraldic bearing.
It can lend historical weight to a book cover or a metal album title, despite the very different audiences. The lettering is best suited to an emphatic display role. Festival posters and heraldry-inspired game graphics can also draw on its manuscript character and pointed construction.
