Author's note

RocknRollTypocrazy by Otto Maurer is a free distorted display font with the unruly motion of cut-and-pasted lettering. Its tall, thin serifs, abrupt shifts in scale, and wildly tilted forms create a jagged silhouette that feels deliberately unstable rather than casually uneven.

On concert posters, the erratic angles turn a band name into part of the performance graphics. Album covers and club flyers also suit its noisy, off-kilter construction, especially for punk, garage rock, or experimental events. For merchandise, the changing letter heights can become an illustrated logotype, with the type itself supplying the crooked shapes and restless movement of the artwork.
