Author's note

Rottypen is a free chunky handwritten display font with the blunt, uneven marks of a broad felt-tip pen. Its letters shift between rounded blobs and tall, narrow strokes, and their irregular edges give the writing an impulsive, slightly unruly appearance that feels drawn in one quick pass, with little concern for polish.

Packaging offers a natural setting for this lettering, especially on candy wrappers, snack labels, and children's activity products, where the soft shapes and hand-drawn wobble can echo simple cartoon illustration. It can also form a scruffy, approachable identity for neighborhood cafes, toy brands, and informal music events.
