Author's note

Roughknight, created by Neale Davidson, is a free eroded Western display font with massive slab-like letters and a blunt frontier-poster stance. Rounded chips, pinholes, and deep cutouts interrupt the dense forms in a deliberate, almost riveted pattern across the lettering.

Outlaw themes suit game titles, event posters, and craft-beer packaging. The scattered holes can echo bullet marks, distressed metal, or weathered signs in illustrations, tying the lettering directly to the artwork.

This typeface is based on Sony’s “Wild Arms 5” video game logo. It includes the full alphabet, extended punctuation, and the euro symbol.
