RUFF by Nils Merkel is a free eroded display font with broad, heavy sans serif capitals. Its blunt shapes have an industrial scale, but the damage is concentrated in rough chips and scraped patches rather than an even grain. The effect feels forceful and worn.
Urban music, skate culture, and warehouse events match the lettering's hard weight and battered surface. It can shape concert posters, streetwear graphics, and event branding, while magazine covers can use its distressed edges to introduce a raw editorial theme.
