Author's note

Rushin by Matthew Welch is a free Russian-style caps font with a stark, poster-like rhythm. The letters feel pared down and architectural, mixing blocky verticals with rounded turns that hint at Cyrillic signage, so the alphabet reads with a cold-war-era graphic snap rather than a neutral display voice.

This free font makes sense for music flyers, vodka or bar branding, game title cards, festival posters, and bold editorial cover lines where that Soviet-inflected mood does the work fast. Because the caps are so simplified and tall, it also suits short monograms, chapter openers, and compact headlines that need a severe, unmistakably Eastern European flavor.
