RvD Patterson by Rich vom Dorf is a free eroded horror display font with hulking, irregular letterforms and torn contours. Deep gouges and dripping cuts disturb the solid silhouettes.
It can turn a poster title into part of the artwork, especially in promotions for haunted attractions. The damaged shapes also suit game graphics, horror merchandise, and Halloween packaging built around decay or menace. Across these uses, the blunt mass and scraped texture make the lettering resemble a distressed sign or roughly painted prop.
