Sailor Larry - Fade by Tom Ledin is a free decorative retro display font with tall, narrow letters, broad slab-like feet, and theatrical proportions. Fine horizontal bars cut through the strokes, and dense diagonal hatching rises from the lower portions like engraved shadow.
Its etched shading echoes vintage print illustrations. That connection makes it apt for music posters, bar packaging, festival merchandise, and editorial covers, where the repeated crossbars and dark lower texture can become part of a larger linework motif.
