Author's note
Samurai Cab Co BB, by Nate Piekos, is a free Japanese display font with a chunky, rounded silhouette and a playful retro-comic bounce. The letters feel built from soft block shapes with little plugged-in nubs and clipped joins that echo shop signs and pop-culture takes on Japanese lettering more than strict calligraphy.
It fits naturally in manga covers, ramen-bar branding, arcade flyers, poster titles, and merch graphics where a free font needs quick atmosphere without going ornate. Because the forms are so compact and graphic, it also works well for short headlines, logo ideas, title cards, and monograms where those rounded hooks and stubby cut-ins carry the theme fast.
