Author's note

Scratching Matters by Xerographer Fonts is a free trash script with tall skeletal capitals scratched into restless overlapping lines, narrow gaps, and long pointed extensions that jut beyond the main shapes. Its uneven stroke buildup, sharp crossings, abrupt changes in width, and occasional leaning forms make the lettering look raw and deliberately unstable rather than smoothly written.

Album covers are its clearest home. The agitated marks also suit underground concert posters, skate merchandise, horror event graphics, and experimental magazine covers, since their repeated scratches can echo distressed photography, torn paper, photocopied textures, or hand-scrawled artwork.
