Author's note

Serif12 Bold Italic, designed by Stefan Hattenbach of MAC Rhino, is a free high-contrast italic serif with a distinctly calligraphic sweep. Broad curves and fine hairlines give the slanted letters an elegant, fast-moving silhouette, sharpened by pointed joins and rounded stroke endings.

Fashion labels and boutique hospitality brands could use its confident flourish for logos, packaging, and event invitations. In editorial design, the pronounced thick-thin strokes suit magazine mastheads and feature openers, especially for stories centered on style, culture, or luxury.
