Author's note

Serif12, designed by Stefan Hattenbach of MAC Rhino, is a free high-contrast serif with fine hairlines, broad upright strokes, and a distinctly formal air. The letters have crisp, nearly unbracketed serifs and generous curves that produce a poised silhouette associated with fashion and traditional book typography.

Luxury packaging and concert posters occupy very different settings, yet both can use the sharp stroke changes and refined proportions to frame premium products or cultured events. For magazine covers and literary journals, it turns editorial titles into an integral part of the publication's voice.
