Author's note

SF Covington Bold Italic, designed by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry, is a free high-contrast serif display font with a pronounced forward slant. Long, tapered strokes and sharply cut serifs make the lettering theatrical, and the narrow forms keep its silhouette taut.

It can create an elegant period title for fashion editorials, theater posters, and luxury packaging. The sweeping curves also suit invitations and music artwork with a formal or dramatic theme. With portrait photography or engraved illustration, its thin hairlines and broad strokes echo shifts of light and shadow.
