SF Covington SC Shadow Italic by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry is a free retro outlined serif with narrow, forward-leaning caps. Fine inner lines, sharp slab-like details, and a deep offset shadow give the lettering the punch of athletic and storefront graphics.

Vintage sport is its clearest subject, making it suited to team merchandise and event posters with a period look. It also fits heritage food packaging and bar signage. In editorial design, the dimensional outlines can turn a magazine cover line into part of a sporting or Americana theme.
