Author's note

SF Covington by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry is a free high-contrast serif with exceptionally tall, narrow letterforms and a formal, fashion-minded air. Fine hairlines meet broad vertical strokes in long curves that give the lettering an elegant but slightly theatrical silhouette.

Publishing is an especially convincing setting for it, from magazine mastheads and book covers to refined event posters. On perfume packaging or boutique signage, its stretched proportions can make the lettering function almost like a row of architectural columns rather than ordinary text.
