SF Florencesans Comp Italic by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry is a free condensed italic sans serif with a remarkably narrow, forward-driving silhouette. The thick strokes taper into fine curves.

Poster design is its clearest setting, especially for fashion events and music promotions suited to urgent, tall lettering. It also fits magazine covers and apparel graphics. The compressed shapes can echo narrow photo crops or stripe patterns, turning the type into part of the graphic theme.
