Author's note

SF Phosphorus Fluoride, designed by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry, is a free high-contrast serif with the poised drama of a modern Didone face. Fine hairlines meet broad strokes, and sharply cut serifs give the flowing curves a crisp edge.

Fashion mastheads and fragrance packaging make especially convincing settings, but the same theatrical refinement can also suit concert posters and literary book covers. Its extreme stroke changes lend names and titles a sense of ceremony, with enough sweep to relate to portrait photography or ornate illustration. It will speak most directly to fashion, beauty, and arts audiences drawn to editorial lettering with a refined, slightly dramatic air.
